UCT Centre in ICT for Development (ICT4D)
The Centre in ICT4D (Information and Communication Technologies for Development) at the University of Cape Town serves as a focal point for those researchers who wish to create ICT appropriate to the needs of the developing world. Being based in South Africa, we are ideally placed to design, create and test ICT solutions optimised for the African continent.
The Centre has strong links locally and internationally with government, research institutions and commercial organisations.
