Innovation Talk by Derivco’s Research and Development Team

There will be a Department of Computer Science Industry Seminar  by Rodney Pillay and Ross Kelly  of Derivco.  

The talk will look at exploring the creation of an environment that aims to cultivate innovation by discussing the following:

•             How Derivco’s Research and Development team has achieved this environment

•             The ‘innovation ventures’ the team has explored and developed in the areas of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR).

•             The contributing background and history that influences their development process for such innovation projects

•             An in-depth look at their process and the progression of each project

•             Video Demos

•             Demos TBC (waiting on lecturer to confirm this).

Rodney Pillay is a Software Architect in the Research and Development team at Derivco, specialising in all tiers of Software Development. Rodney has been I the Software Development industry for 17 years, and at Derivco for all of this time. Outside of work Rodney enjoys playing golf.

Ross Kelly is a Senior Software Developer in the Research and Development team at Derivco. His primary focus in 3D, virtual and augmented worlds. Ross has been in the industry for 10 years, 7 of which have been at Derivco. On weekends he loves playing with anything mechanical and technical.
